WHAT TO EXPECT

Our Promise:

WE WILL LISTEN TO AND ACTIVELY ENGAGE WITH YOUR STAKEHOLDERS AND COMMUNITY TO HELP GUIDE PROJECT SPECIFIC SOLUTIONS THAT WILL PROVIDE A MODEL FOR THE ENTIRE DOWNTOWN BOWLING GREEN REDEVELOPMENT

Over the next few months The Design Team will work closely with Bowling Green Staff, Stakeholder Groups, and Citizens of Bowling Green to develop improvement plans for your community.  The team’s goal is to transcribe your vision into the urban fabric of Downtown Bowling Green.

The key areas targeted for improvement in this phase of work include:

  • The Heritage Trail

  • State and College Streets

  • Morris Alley

  • Capital Alley

The process will include work sessions and a series of meetings with all principal parties to listen, transcribe your vision, and assist with overseeing the installation of the proposed improvements.  This meeting is the first step in that process in which we seek to understand your goals, concerns, needs, and vision.

The Design Team will then prepare three options for your review.  We will illustrate proposed improvements to State and College Streets, Morris and Capital Alley, and the Greenway between Fountain Square Park and Circus Square Park- known as the Heritage Trail.  We will present the three plan options for Stakeholder review and input in November.

After addressing stakeholder comments we will host an Open House in December to present these three refined options to the community.  From this public process the Design Team will develop a single Conceptual Plan for all areas of improvement based upon your vision.

The Design Team will host a second Open House next Spring to present the final Conceptual Plan to the community.

Construction will begin in the Fall of 2018.  We are very excited to begin work on this project with you.
