PROJECT NEWS: PUBLIC MEETING SCHEDULED FOR TUESDAY, DECEMBER 12, 2017

The City of Bowling Green will host a public meeting on Tuesday, December 12th, to present the current progress on the Downtown Square Streetscape plan.

The drop-in meeting is scheduled between 4 pm  and  7 pm at the Bowling Green Municipal Utilities Conference Center located at 801 Center Street.

Over the past few months, the Vaughn & Melton Design Team has been working closely with Bowling Green Staff and Stakeholder Groups to develop three options for public review and comment.

Proposed illustrations will reveal improvements to State and College Streets, Morris Alley and Capitol Alley, and the Greenway between Fountain Square Park and Circus Square Park- known as the Heritage Trail. The overarching goal is to transcribe your vision into the urban fabric of Downtown Bowling Green.

The Design Team will host a second public meeting late January/early February 2018 to present the final Conceptual Plan to the community.

Construction is proposed to begin Fall of 2018.
